Overview

The flag is blue with yellow stripe forming the letter L. The party was formed from parts fractioning from HSLS, and retained the liberal colours of blue and yellow.

Established: Zagreb, 24 January 1998. Members: 1998 (3.500), 1999 (3.500), 2001 (4.000), 2002 (4.500), 2003 (4.700), 2004 (5.400). Members in Croatian Parliament: 1998-1999 - 4 (3,12%), 2000 - 2 (1,32%), 2002 - 4 (2,65%), 2003 - 4 (2,65%), 2004 - 2 (1,32%). Associate member of ELDR (European Liberal Democrats Party - <www.eldr.org>) and full member of LI (Liberal International). The party emblem is descirbed in the Statutes but the flag is not. The emblem is a blue square with yellow initials LS and behind it an other yellow square shifted downwards and to sinister. However, the flag is consistently used - blue with large letter L throughout. The flag is hoisted on the party manifestations as well as on the party headquarters in the Ilica Street in Zagreb.
